My buddy Greg and I got an early start out of Westbank at 0600, headed to the West Coast of Vancouver Isl for our first salmon trip we'd ever made together! That in itself would normally bring out tears from family for fear of our safety however, we've been "partners" for...........25 years or so, and still alive so what the hell!
The destination for our outing was Critter Cove, located in Tlupanna Inlet which leads up to Nootka Sound. For a better look click HERE for a good map of the area. Reader's Digest version is we headed to Tsawwassen ferry terminal, grabbed the Duke Pt ferry (cheaper than the other ones!) and headed up Island, hung a left in Campbell River, headed to Gold River and launched there.
