In Search of a Great White of a Different Kind!

I'll be the first to admit that when I was asked to go "hunting" for Acipenser transmontanus I wasn't really all that keen.  As much as I'm a die hard believer in catch and release, I figured to go after these leviathans wouldn't be all that much fun.  After all, it was just a matter of putting a line out and sitting in a boat and bringing them in, right?  Well, not quite, and the two full days we were on our search was one of the more enjoyable fishing outings I've had in a while!
