(Of Fishing Reports and BS!!  Page 2)

There's no one more honest than Freddy, fish or not!! And that's right, it is a 12 oz can, not 16!!

So, you "experts" out there, did you guess the right fish??  I'm not trying to be factious or sarcastic, OK, maybe I am, but sometimes the truth is tough to handle for some folks!  I really appreciate all the reports and pics from the guys but I've had to, at times, omit the weight of the fish they have told me in order to prevent "those" people again complaining about what size the fish actually is, even though they weren't there when they caught it!!  Now, in all honesty, because that's what my fishing reports are all about, there have been a few pics sent to me by my "regular" reporters that I too have questioned but, just another reason that I don't post weights (except my own of course because its my site!!)), so don't be offended youse guys!!  Nothing personal but, after doing this for such a long time its like being on Highway Patrol and being able to estimate the speed of vehicles, "guessing" the weight of fish becomes second nature, with, and acceptable margin of error.  No ones perfect, that's right, not even the Captain!!

So, for those that have problems with fishing reports, DON'T READ THEM!!  See how easy that was to curb your skepticism!!  But, don't also be a hypocrite and, when you are launching your boat next time and another angler comes in with some nice fish and your first question is, "What'd you catch them on??", because you know your going to ask!!  That my friend, is a fishing report.  If you want to know what isn't a fishing report, how about someone who makes reports on a web site and shows some pictures but says nothing about where, what or how the fish were caught.  Now that, is nothing more than a personal bragging report but, may also be that why strictly for advertising purposes, and so be it.  My intention of my reports is not bragging, I get lots of that done when I have my grandson out, but a source of reliable information that may help the angler out on the water.  If it were my only intention to brag, I'd put PhotoShop to work and show some real big fish on the site!!  Rest assured that my "reporters" are reliable and honest anglers with their input, anyone less than that (that I find out about!) are not allowed herein!!

So, for those of you that want to learn a bit more about fishing or about different lakes and what's in them, or just like a good read when you can't get out,  I invite you to stay tuned to the Reel Fishing Adventures site for up to date info on everything that fishing is about.  As time goes by and with more and more anglers looking up the site, you can expect more fishing "stuff" than ever.  In fact, a new Fishing Report area is about to go on line, that'll be a Fly fishing Lakes report in which some of the smaller lakes will be reported on, not just by me but others that enjoy tossing a fly, or, even using that bobber thingy!!  That's my hook set on the reports!
